    Embrace the Flavours and Tranquillity of the Island

    Monday: Arrival & Orientation

    Afternoon: Arrive on the picturesque island of Kastellorizo, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your host, Tranda Devereux. After a friendly introduction, you’ll be shown to your charming accommodations, with plenty of time to settle in and soak up the peaceful surroundings.

    Early Evening: Take a leisurely orientation stroll around the island, soaking in its beauty and charm as Tranda introduces you to the local culture.

    Then Gather Stin Avli (in the courtyard) of Tranda’s little island home to discuss the exciting week ahead. Relish a home-prepared mezethaki (small Greek appetizers) while you get to know fellow retreat participants.

    Evening: At your leisure.

    Tuesday: Cooking Class & Tavernas Tour

    Morning: Your culinary journey begins with a hands-on cooking class where you'll master the art of making traditional Greek sweets and the perfect cup of Greek coffee. (3 – 4 hours)

    Early Evening: After a relaxing siesta and swim, we head out for an early evening tour of local tavernas, tasting the island’s specialties and discussing the unique ingredients that make Greek cuisine so special.

    Wednesday: Blue Grotto & Greek Island Lunch

    Morning: Take a scenic sea taxi to the famous Blue Grotto, where you'll have time for an early morning swim and explore the stunning sea cave.

    Late Morning: Return to the kitchen for your next cooking class, where you’ll prepare and enjoy a sumptuous Greek Island lunch. (3 – 4 hours)

    Early Evening: End the day with a visit to the Palio Kastro (Old Castle), offering the best sunset view of the island—a perfect way to reflect on the day’s adventures.

    Evening: At your leisure

    Thursday: Ro Island & Mezethakia Masterclass

    Mid-Morning: Head to Ro Island for a relaxing swim in its crystal-clear waters, enjoying lunch on board Barbara’s boat.

    Afternoon: Back on Kastellorizo, spend the afternoon in the kitchen preparing the perfect Mezethakia (small plates), ideal for pairing with a cold glass of ouzo as we celebrate Greek hospitality.

    Evening: At your leisure

    Friday: Overnight Stay to Kas, Turkey

    Morning: Take the ferry across the sea to Kas, a charming town in Turkey.

    Mid-Morning: Explore the Kas Food Bazaar, a bustling market filled with local delights and fresh ingredients.

    Lunch: Enjoy lunch at an open-air farm restaurant where you’ll enjoy a traditional, Turkish farm-to-table meal.

    Afternoon & Evening: The rest of the day is yours to relax, shop, and wander through the small streets of Kas. Unwind and soak up the lively atmosphere of this charming Turkish town.

    Saturday: Return to Kastellorizo & Final Greek Feast

    Morning: After returning to Kastellorizo, enjoy a relaxing morning at leisure.

    Afternoon: We head back into the kitchen for the final cooking class, where you’ll prepare and enjoy a festive Greek Feast to celebrate all you’ve learned and the friendships you’ve made.

    Evening: Share a memorable final dinner together, enjoying the fruits of your cooking and reflecting on the week’s experiences.

    Sunday: Leisure Day & Farewell

    Enjoy your final day on Kastellorizo at your leisure. Spend the day exploring, relaxing by the sea, or simply reflecting on the memories made during the retreat.

    Monday:

    After a restful week immersed in the flavors, culture, and tranquility of Kastellorizo, it's time to say farewell. Depart with new skills, cherished memories, and a deeper connection to the island and its beautiful traditions.

    This is more than a cooking retreat—it's a journey of flavors, creativity, and connection.
